When building my own house I will use the most sustainable materials I can source and design the house using technologies that harness natural resources such as collecting rain water in tanks and using south facing tilted windows to trap solar heat and to provide light. I will have my own food producing garden and learn permaculture techniques. I aim to live in a community where the need for a car is limited due to the proximity of shops, transport, work, schools etc. I aim to be living like this within the next 5 years.
